Relating to God – Artist Anneke Kaai

In painting this series ‘Relating to God’ I have drawn on intense emotional realities from my own life and from the lives of others, in my life as a pastors wife. In these paintings you see the range of emotions you may experience when you live in relationship with God. These are expressed through bold, colourful pantings, from gentle trust to extremes of joy, sorrow or agitation at God’s apparent absence.

I have made this series to encourage people in their own meditations on such themes. I hope that these paintings will encourage viewers to meditate, to discuss

and to pray.

All the paintings are of an 55 to 130 size dimension and have been painted with acryl on Plexiglas.
